Parkland Transmission has been serving Central Alberta for over 30 years. Scott Medori, Mark Klein, and Jeff Tirrell have worked at Parkland for over 16 years, and have owned the business for 12 years. Our mission statement is to build customers for life. We made a committment to training and staying up to date with technology when we took over the business. We continue to attend seminars, and train as much as possible. We also are involved with leading edge companies, such as Sonnax, to help bring new products to our customers to keep their transmissions on the road longer. We are licenced by the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Coucil. We support the Alberta Apprenticeship program, through the hiring of apprentices, and aid with the transmission component of the required training.
We also determined that we wanted to put back into the community that supports our business. We have sponsored a Peewee AA hockey team for all 12 years. We have been involved with Safety City, Red Deer Minor Softball, Red Deer Vipers Junior B hockey club, and their scholarship program, Red Deer In-line hockey, and the former PeeWee Christmas hockey tournament. We are proud to support The Sutter Fund, United Way, Food Bank, and Stars Ambulance. We have also helped numerous youths to travel to further their life skills, through sports and youth group programs.
We have encouraged our staff to get involved in the community also. We are proud to say that our staff has voluteered for numerous groups, including coaching, Cadets, Church events, Safety City, community associations, Habitat for Humanity, school events, Vipers board of directors, Red Deer Boxing club, Alberta Apprenticeship board, among others. Scott has just been named to the board of directors of ATRA, as the Western Canadian representative.
